1st

The United States ($3.80)

A serious chance of success for Macedon Lodge in a major races this season, The United States will leave from the ideal barrier 3 in the 2015 JRA Cup with Damien Lane aboard and will be very hard to beat. Returning this time for success amongst notable company in the Sweeney Estate Agents Handicap (1500m) on August 22nd, the Galileo entire progressed to second in the Craig Opie Cup (1600m) before again finishing second in the Group 3 Naturalism Stakes (2000m) last time out.

2nd

Awesome Rock ($7)

Awesome Rock was clearly looking for more distance when beating only one runner home in the Group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes (1600m) last time out, and will also relish a step-back in class for the 2015 JRA Cup. Running third in the Group 3 Fred Best Classic (1350m) and fourth in the Group 2 Queensland Guineas (1600m) most notably through winter, the Fastnet Rock entire returned this time for a credible third in the Hockingstuart Handicap (1400m) in what was his only other start prior to the Makybe Diva Stakes.

3rd

Desert Jeuney ($12)

Desert Jeuney has been somewhat inconsistent this time in, but has enjoyed the continual step-up in running distance and has the class to figure in the 2015 JRA Cup. Arguably finding career-best form to date during the 2014 Spring Carnival, the Desert King gelding ran third in the Signage Concepts Handicap (1500m) at the Valley before running third in both the Group 1 Toorak Handicap (1600m) and Group 2 Crystal Mile (1600m) most notably. Having placed fourth in the Gold Nugget Handicap (1600m) last start, the horse appears ready for a big run in the JRA Cup.
